HMG Hotels Announces Name Change and Rebrand

HMG Hotels, a full-service, third-party hotel management company that owns and operates branded and independent hotels in US markets, has announced that it will rebrand the current name of the company into HMG Hospitality, resulting in several changes at the executive level.

In keeping with the long term strategic plan, Joel Biggs, CEO, and Jack Giacomini, Chairman of HMG Hotels, signaled that the decision to rebrand to HMG Hospitality was made after a detailed planning process that considered the next level of performance, expansion, and positioning.

“Through an evaluation of our company strategy and growth forecast, we have recognized that we have the distinct opportunity to utilize 30 years of third party hotel management experience in concert with the next step in accountability and efficiency,” said Biggs. “In order for our expansion plan to succeed, which will include increased focus on consulting services for development and renovations, asset management, and an increased portfolio, we will incorporate advanced technologies with our well known level of integrity and performance.”

Effective immediately, HMG Hospitality will now be operated by:

Joel Biggs as CEO and Jack Giacomini as Chairman, who will focus on  Owner Relations of the Company’s portfolio of independent and affiliated select, and full service hotels, as well as Business Development with the goal of securing new management contracts for HMG Hospitality.

Yolanda Bender, formerly the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Revenue Management, will take over as President.  Yolanda assumes responsibilities for the day to day operations of HMG Hospitality. She is tasked with taking HMG Hospitality to the next level in conjunction with the overall business growth strategy.

Michele DeMayo continues to serve as Executive Vice President of HMG Hospitality.  Michele is responsible for operations including Human Resources, Accounting, Risk Management, Transition Management and Employee Training. Michele is also responsible for all local, state and national compliance standards for all hotels in the portfolio and assets.

Rick Skinner serves as Vice President of Operations and brings a wealth of experience as a well-known operations executive to his new role.  Rick will be responsible for implementing and monitoring operational performance modules, to improve efficiency and bottom line results.

Donna Lewis steps into the role of Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Revenue Management.  With her lengthy tenure in high level Sales and Marketing Executive positions, Donna will continue to carry the torch that HMG Hotels has established as a leader in sales accountability and marketing innovation for its portfolio of hotels.
